work 2006-2009

UW Exhibit_pg1

This exhibit in the Department of Architecture office at the University of Washington was designed by atelierjones to showcase the firm’s work between 2006-2009. Working within the existing framework as developed by the Department of Architecture in the mid 1990’s to create a space for faculty, students and others to display their work, atelierjones deconstructed the shear and lateral support of the structure, and replaced it with waste cardboard tubes, fastened with waste HDPE packing straps. Beginning in December 2009, cardboard tubes were collected from three different sources, all standard reprographic houses in the Seattle area, serving the region’s robust Architecture, Engineering and Contracting communities.
